We rescued you from a terrible home,
Gave you lots of land to roam.
You were deathly sick, but we didn't care,
We knew we couldn't leave you there.
We nursed you until you were well,
Years passed and no one could tell.
How sick you were on that first day,
O how you had come such a long long way.
You filled our home with lots of love,
Fit into our family like a glove.
You loved to hut all the snakes,
That roamed down by the lake.
Even though we had to say goodbye,
We will try not to cry.
We will remember all the fun times we had,
And not to be to very sad.
We love you with all our hearts,
And even though we are apart.
We will always love you our 4 legged friend,
Just remember that until we meet again.
Here's wishing you a brand new start,
Minus all the aches and pains and a healthy heart.
