Sweet Cinnamon Boy
by Louise Farrington.........................................
Cheeno our ferret

Sweet cinnamon boy, you filled our hearts with joy.

On that day you came to stay.

You zipped around with out a care.

You jumped you dooked and frolicked about.

There were many things you liked especially chocolate

if only you could get a bite.

To calm you down not to disappoint we hung a cheaweasle for you to munch.

When board with that Snafu you would fin

and suck on his ears though he really did not mind.

It is so very quiet with out you near no hammock digging can we here,

all that scratching and scraping any one would think

you were fluffing your bed up before your sleep.

Then sadly one day you got sick we tried every thing to make you

Well and for a while it worked so well.

It was a joy to see you zipping about again.

Then at the tender age of 3 you left us one sunny day.

Oh sweet Cinnamon boy now our hearts cry with sorrow.

Knowing there will be no seeing you tomorrow.

You really were a homely boy, as many a time as a treat ,

I would try to take you for a walk down our street.

You would struggle and strain on your leash then run back in side again

to the home you know so safe and sound

then straight to the kitchen you would bound .

No cupboard was safe from your ferrety nose especially the cats biscuits
that you chose.

You were never a shy boy when the camera was out you like to pose and
look so cute,

with your cinnamon coat and eyes of darkest coal

whiskers so long you really were a handsome boy.

We are so grateful you liked to pose as you left us with lovely memories
to cherish.

Sweet Cinnamon boy be happy shine and dook

Forever at the rainbow bridge.

And forever know you were truly loved and we are so thankful

you shared your short life with us.

Our sweet and gentle cinnamon boy.

In memory of our sweet Cheeno.
