She was extremely feisty, playful and loving. She was very smart. You could see the wheels turning in her head as she was trying to figure something out.
She loved ice cream, cheese, carrots, tomatoes, actually any food, except lettuce and celery. She was a champion counter surfer, but she never took anything off the counter.
She played frisbee, tug of war and "kill" the stuffed toy. She taught Rascal our other springer to play, he'd been in a kennel for the first 2 years of his life and didn't know how. He misses her terribly also. He keeps looking for her.
We thought we'd have at least another 4 or 5 years with her, as she wasn't quite 9 years old. We were on a trip out of town, Abby and Rascal were boarded at the vets. She suddenly bloated, 3 times. The 3rd time was just too much for her, she had a seizure and arrested. The vet just couldn't do anything for her, it happened too fast.
She was our sunshine and love. She will be physically buried in her favorite digging spot in our yard. She will be spiritually living in our hearts until we meet again at the Bridge.
Lynne and George Rudesill and Rascal, he pal.
