Last night we lost our sweet and cuddlely Stray aka "Fat Louie". Stray was a stray that came up to my now husband's house when it was a baby. They had took him in and made him a part of their family which consisted of My husband, his daughter, and his dad. After we got married he became my husband's, mine's, and my step-daughter's buddy along with three other fur babies (Prissy-dog, Meko-cat, Thomas-cat). Last spring he had gotten really sick and we took him to the vet and they said he had congestive heart failure. So, I became the one who would give him his medicine and make sure he was alright. He got to feeling a lot better and wanted to start to go back outside. He soon took up outside with a new stray cat that came to be at our house that we named "Pumpkin". He would very seldom come back inside after that. Last night we noticed that he was acting the same way as before. So I scooped him up in a towel and headed to the vet. By the time I had gotten to the vet Stray had already past on. I have never lost a pet like this in my 29 years and I have to say it was the hardest thing I had to do. The phone call home to let my husband and my step-daughter know that he was gone was rough. Today we seem to be doing better but we need to remember that we have other fur babies to love on and we will see Stray aka "Fat Louie" again as we cross the rainbow bridge together.
We will always love you "Fat Louie"!
