RAINBOW BRIDGE
Most people’s “love” comes complete with drama
I was first blessed with a brilliant Mama
Who taught me to recognize indications
Of true love and acceptance, a rare combination
Without deal breakers, free of conditions
A love totally absent of ridiculous suspicions
To have and to lose it, causes such heartbreak
For a moment, even forever it makes your eyes ache
Envious of those that didn’t go there
To be slammed into instant despair
Through the pain, I’d never want to not know
The beautiful love of my precious Mello
A love so rare, I have no expectation
Of finding it again, love without complication
I am devastated now, with infinite tears
In the blink of an eye, you’ve simply disappeared
But I’m so grateful that I got to know
The beautiful love of my precious Mello
And I know you and Mom will meet me at the ridge
Of heaven one day, on Rainbow Bridge
LOVE,
Mom
