Christmas at Rainbow Bridge - by Ralphie
by Maria Daniels.........................................
Christmas family gatherings are taking place at Rainbow Bridge this time of year and a very special area is setup for us to sit and enjoy being together ... rocking chairs and love seats upholstered in red and green velvet for our human loved ones can be seen sheltered under beautiful trees decorated with glistening, shimmering bright ornaments that change colors every time you look at them. On the ground you can find pet beds of every size where we nap while our human loved ones share stories of their lives and of our loved ones still living. Once in a while one of them will reach down and caress our heads and we open our eyes and smile as we feel their love - the love that still connects us all as a family.

The softest, purest white snow covers the ground but it isn't cold and it never melts ... The sweet scent of cinnamon, bayberry and apples floats in soft breezes that caress every human and non-human face ... Choirs of angels sing Christmas carols and the sound of their voices fill our souls with love, joy and indescribable peace ... The most beautiful butterflies are released this time of year and they dance with each other as they fly by us.

Birds are everywhere ... they, too, were someone's special baby on Earth and they now join their Bridge family and share new songs they learned from the angels.

There is no time at the Bridge ... there is no need to hurry as memories and love are shared by all ... but once in a while, a human or an animal can be seen walking towards the beautiful rainbow ... they stop, look over the edge and they gently place their love on the rainbow and watch it slide down and straight into the hearts of those who miss and love them so very much ... so right now, I'm letting my love slide down the rainbow and straight into my Mom's heart and I will catch her love as she sends it to me on butterfly wings.

Merry Christmas from Rainbow Bridge ... we will be together again.

Ralphie
