Memories of Kyra

Memories of Kyra

From the time Kyra was brought into our family as an 8 week old puppy, she has given us unconditional love and affection and never once was she ever a bad or naughty dog. She loved to play ball and frisbee as a puppy and then tug-o-war with her cousin, Nikki, when they were together. When her nephew, Tucker, came to live with us, they all played together and loved each other as if they were people. As a matter of fact, they were better than the average "joe". In later years, she showed signs of aging with the onset of arthritis but that still didn't stop her from doing what Kyra wanted. She had her own mind and used it to her advantage. As years went by, she began having medical problems but again, beat the odds and got better. She was just a tough old girl, moreso like the "energizer bunny. Right before Christmas 2004, Kyra had a stroke/seizure and again, almost didn't make it but she pulled thru. As time went on, she had several more and with the medication given her, she rallied once again. Unfortunately, a month or two before she left us for a better place, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor possibly in the motor portion of her brain which didn't allow her to realize when she had to walk but she continued to struggle and would make herself get up, walk or whatever else she had to do..........because that's what mom and dad wanted from her. She was the best "daughter" anyone could ever, ever have. As we go on in our lifetime, Kyra's spirit will live forever and ever in our hearts and she will be forever loved til the end of time.
