Today was a very sad day for me. Yet again i had to make the heartbreaking decision to have a beloved pet put to sleep.
Sam was 17, a beautiful torti cat. She was the first cat we had then over her 17 years we added two Golden Retrievers and another torti. I was very lucky to find this site a few weeks ago when the vet told me that after tests she thought Sam had a thyroid problem and put her on tablets. It was touch and go but the tablets did seem to work until 4 days ago when she stopped eating or drinking, and was being sick.

When I took her to the vets today they said that she had kidney failure...emotionally I really could not see her go through anymore.

Sam over the years have outlived both the Goldens and the other torti. My partner has said that we wont have any animals again, but, the house feels so empty now. Maybe its all to raw. Im so grateful for this site and reading some of the stories I do feel that Sam is with out other pets
