My Little Girl Jazzy
by Mario Cafarelli.........................................
We lost our little girl last night - it was time for her suffering to end. My little girl Jazz was a rescue dog, and at first when my wife brought her home - she was timid and kept to herself, but after awhile she bacame part of the family and loved her brothers and sisters (Our other dogs)and just loved to be part of the family - she was SOOO happy all of the time, barking and barking and barking when me or my wife would come home, and then go outside to play - She never ever caused a problem in our house or with any of our other pets, She just absolutley loved being part of the Pack! She was so sweet and I will never forget her little American Eskimo face that she had - always smiling - or so it seemed. The last year of her life there were many complications with her health, she was about 15 years old and not only did she have one eye and was blind, she also had diabetes, and the onset of cushings disease - but what ultimately led me and my wife to do the painful yet humane act and call a vet to our home and let her pass there was she had a Collapsed Trachea and the last week of her life, it got so bad that she could hardly move at all without coughing and basically gasping for air - Although we tried everything we could to prolong her life -there were going to be no miracles, and although I didn't want to face the fact that she had to go - I knew it was the best for her, we just couldn't watch her suffer. I held her in my arms as the DR helped her pass and told her how much of a blessing she was to me and thanked her for being my little Angel girl for so many years. I am numb right now as I write this and don't want to go home without her there - but I know and believe that there IS a better place where she is Breathing with no complications right now and barking up a storm again because she is with CROSS,DINO,WINNIE,CHARLIE and CHAMP (Our other Pets who have passed through the years) I will forever miss you little Jazzy and will never forget the time that you were able to be my little girl! I LOVE YOU JAZZ
