My Buster.
by Marisa Ruffolo.........................................
My Buster.

I miss you so much, my sweet, special boy,
Into my life, you brought greatest joy!
Memories of you, flood over my mind-
The good and the bad, all intertwined:

Your cute, orange nose, all cold and wet,
That melted my heart, the first time we met;
The way you stretched out, on your Daddy's lap,
Rolled on your back, and took a nap;

Your sleepy, green eyes, your dark orange fur,
And the comforting sound, of your precious purr;
In front of the fire, your favourite spot,
You'd lay there for hours, no matter how hot;

And when you went out, you'd roll all around,
Your paws in the air, never touching the ground!
You helped sooth my soul, when Pumpkin died,
You licked up my tears, and stayed by my side;

Everywhere I look, everywhere I go,
I'm reminded of you, and my heart fills with woe.
The ache in my chest, the hole in my heart,
That won't go away since we've been apart.

They say time will mend, this awful pain,
That one day the sun, will shine through the rain.
Perhaps this is true, I'll once again smile,
But it seems to me, it will take quite awhile.

All I know now, seems sad and black,
And I can't stop wishing, that I had you back!

Marisa Ruffolo,

trying so desperately to stop crying......
