MY SWEET OTIS
WE ADOPTED HIM IN 2011 ALONG WITH ANOTHER KITTY, MILO. MY DEAR OTIS, WE ALL MISS YOU SO VERY MUCH. SOMETIMES AT NIGHT A THINK I FEEL YOU WALKING ON MY BED. IN YOUR LAST DAYS YOU SUFFERED SO MUCH, AND IT TORE US APART WATCHING YOU. I FEEL YOU MANY TIMES STILL HERE IN THIS HOUSE. CHASING YOUR BALLS AND CATCHING YOUR TOY MICE. THOSE THINGS YOU PRESENTED US WITH AS GIFTS FROM YOUR HEART. MY DEAR BLACK KITTY, THE DAY CAME WHEN I HAD TO RELEASE YOU TO END YOUR PAIN. THUS BEGAN MY PAIN. OUR PAIN. OUR CATS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN OUR CHILDREN, OUR FAMILY. MY HUSBAND WAS FACING HEART SURGERY THE DAY BEFORE YOU PASSED. I BROUGHT YOU HOME, AND WE BURIED YOU IN OUR BACK YARD. I PUT YOUR MOUSE AND BALL IN THE BOX WITH YOU. ALMOST TWO MONTHS NOW, SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY, BUT I KNOW YOU ARE AT THE RAINBOW BRIDGE, AND NOW YOU ARE FREE OF THIS AWFUL CANCER. SOMEDAY I HOPE WE CAN FIND YOU THERE, WAIT FOR US DEAR OTIS. MILO MISSES YOU AND LOOKS FOR HIS BUDDY EVERY DAY. GOD GAVE US ANIMALS TO TEACH US UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. THIS I AM SURE OF. THEY GIVE AND GIVE, ASKING FOR VERY LITTLE IN RETURN. JUST LOVE, SOME FOOD, AND A WARM BED. BUT MOST OF ALL, THEY GIVE US SO MUCH MORE IN RETURN. SWEET OTIS, REST THERE UNDER THE RAINBOW, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN. ~~~LOVE YOU ALWAYS.
