Doggies Out A Window

Doggies Out A Window

On a sunny Saturday
Our journey aligns,
with two doggies
⁃ hanging
from their car window.

As ours meets theirs
side by side,
The day-tripping-day
begins new,
With a saccharine
view,
Of two fluff-puffs
Taking it
all in.

Parallel to the other I drive
So my periphery can spy,
And my friend may see,
His wrinkled smile.

⁃ stretched out dancing
flapping breezy tongue,
That mushed up visage,
We chortle at -
Musing
we share in their
play time.

Ears flap
Slap, plunk,
white-tuffs tussle,
These two, live plush toys,
Entertain us joyously.

Cloudy cream,
pepper grey,
on this day.
How a car ride
fulfills their dreams
Not unlike ours.

Tongues & tails wag
in delight,
Each tiny face
a playful bite.

We smile, my friend and I
Marvelling at these two
Gifts of cuteness-overload,
Gives a great start
to this day,
and memory maketh
the poem.
