Meeko
by Meghan Fink.........................................
Meeko was a rescued cat from a farm where he would have lived a life being a feral cat and would most likely not lived as long as he had. We named him Meeko because ofh is long raccoon like tail although he was also going to be named Simba. He also nicknamed the "spare parts cat".

Meeko had to be put to sleep due to the fact that he had cancer. In a lot of places. Severely dehydrated and had lost 40% of his body weight, and if you knew my cat that was a lot. He had a severe decline in health in only two months and the last day or two was the worst. He stopped walking and was extremely lethargic. I know he isnt in pain anymore and as Maddi said, "he is with Chani his sister and can eat all my fish and gerbils up there now."

Meeko was a lovable oaf. He really was not the smartest cat in the world but what his brain lacked his heart made up for. He loved everyone and was such an affection whore. He loved to be scritched on his head the most and under his chin. And if I wanted to be special he had his favorite scritch spot on the side of his chin near his whiskers. He was such a loyal cat and came when ever you called him. He was always so much fun to be around. He would play and "eat" my hair when it was longer. He would pounce and attack my feet if they were moving around under the blanket. He would alwys lick a wound if he bit me and if I were to tell him to kiss it better. He never did anything that would get him in trouble except run away, however after a week he came home most likely because he was hungry. While I was pregnant him and Rogue would take turns sleeping in my room and he was usually there when I was crying or sick.

Besides being lovable and friendly he was fat and lazy! His nickname was "fat boy" due to the fact that at one time he was nearly 22 lbs. He would often steal anyone's scrambled eggs and eat them, or any other food you would so happen to sneak him. His belly would swing down below him when he walked. He had to lay down to drink his water with his paw in the water to lap up. He would also (Due to his wierd love of water) jump into the shower with me or my mom. Yes he actually stayed in the shower. And he had such a schedule with his water that if you were late even by an hour to fill up hos water dish he would sit there and meow constantly until you yelled, "WA WA!" and he comes running up.

He was the greatest cat in the world and I loved him the most. It's hard loosing a family member after spending 15 years with him. I will miss him alt and will still expect to see him laying down in the kitchen at his water dish.
