Rain falls down outside the window
I can’t hear you anymore
Lift my mind to the fifth dimension
Feel myself floating above the floor.
Float through walls, float through doors
Float over midnight traffic
Am I getting any closer?
See the water, I’m almost near.
Do you see me in your sleep?
I’ve lived here for years
And still the city isn’t clear
In my memories.
Up ahead is the Rainbow Bridge
Now I’m home.
The rules of this game are not fair
From my memories I remember the pictures on walls
Or the position of my chair.
Little is different for nothing is clear
And I have not the imagination
To dream up activities for you.
Wish I could touch your hair
Or paw you awake
I could watch you fill my bowl
It just isn’t fair.
I’ll be doing this forever
I’ll never see you awake.
Can you see me in your dreams?
Of all the times we went through?
If only I could leave a sign or a gift
But I only have memories of you.
