Hope
by Michelle .........................................
Hope was a lonely soul at the animal shelter, one the e-list on her last day. I decided to rescue her in my rescue, she was all matted with long black fur, a persian mix she was. they did a "mercy" shave on her making her look like a lion, but she was cleaned up and ready for her furever home. the first day she was at an adoption event and older couple and their daughter and granddaughters came to see her. The Jensen's adopted Hope, and renamed her "Taboo". Jean Jensen would call daily on updates of Hopes new life, I loved these conversations with Jean, she so love Hope and gushed over her. it was 7 months later I received a call from Jean's daughter telling me her mom had passed away, and asked if I could take Hope back. Of course I would, I tried to put Hope back out there for readoption but just could not do it, she was and is Jean's cat, so she stayed with us. some time later she began to have issues and was frail and wobbly, the vet told us she had cancer and was in pain, I waited for about a month and then decided to let Hope go be with jean. I know Jean is smiling and laughing over Hope's antics once again.
