Tucker
by Mike Paiva.........................................
About 17 years ago I was hauling rock into a job site in Fremont Ca. and there was this little black dog standing there in between the trucks and equipment hoping that some one would feed him , as the crew would walk by him they would give him a bite of there sandwich , he was starving , skin and bone and I know he was tire . at the end of the day I asked if anyone was going to bring him home , they all said no . so I picked him up and put him in the cab of my truck , he curled up on the passenger seat and fell asleep . We arrived at my truck yard and I helped him down out of the truck , he kind of snooped around a bit wondering where he was , I opened the my pick up door and called him , come on trucker lets go home he hoped right in and laid down on the seat next to me still week and tired . On the way home I called my wife and told her I had a surprise for her and our kids , she asked . what is it ? I told her you will see , but t something that needs a little work and fixing up . she had no idea I was bringing home a dog . when I pulled up to the house my wife Maria and our two kids Lisa and Michael met us in the driveway , Trucker popped his head up and there were all surprised when they saw this little dirty skinny black dog , he was a real mess . I brought him into the house fed him and gave him a bath my kids loved him from the first time the saw him , he went from a homeless hungry dog to a loved baby in an instant . Tucker became such a big part of our family , he was smart and loyal to all of us . Trucker has gone through so many adventures with us good and bad and he was right there by my side all the way . When you hear a person say a dog is a mans best friend , I believe they are more then that . Trucker was a very good dog he was my Buddy , he went every where with my until he couldn't go any more . He was there by my side all the way , I was there by his side all the way to the end . Trucker deserves to run free at Rainbows Bridge . I Love You Trucker.
