Frolic
by Monique .........................................
My sweet puppy. I remember my oldest holding you day and night. You were her precious baby, just as she was my precious baby. She adored you and cherished you. You were the spunkiest, happiest little dog and we all grew to love you. Your 'mommy' moved away but you stayed with us and you became ours. I loved to watch you chase butterflies and play with the kittens. You would lie and let me pet you and then rub my hand for more. Everynight you slept at my feet not even minding when I put a big toe in your ear or on your nose! You hated to be covered with a blanket and that made me so sad as you lay dying because I couldn't keep you warm. I watched you get more and more ill and felt so helpless. You didn't play anymore or frolic with anyone. My poor, sweet baby dog. I petted your soft head until you took your last breath and I knew it was time. I prayed it was time because you had suffered enough my sweet puppy. Now you are outside in the backyard under a tree with yellow daffodils around you and I know that you are in heaven. Jumping, barking and playing with all of my other babies who were waiting for you just as you will wait for us when we are all together again! I am so happy you are happy now my sweet puppy. I miss you but I want you to be well and whole just like you are now, where you are meant to be.
Love,
Grannie
