I Will Always Remember

I Will Always Remember

Mom, I will miss. I remember that day, 15 years ago when you first saw me. There were so many us and I was praying I would catch your eye. There was something special when I first saw you. A glimmer in your eye that was different than most that came by. The moment you picked me up I knew I would be leaving in your arms. I remember the warm embrace and could sense the love that filled my little heart and body.
Over the years, you never disappointed me. You showed me an unconditional love that goes beyond expression. You sacrificed so much and included me in everything you did. Not one day went by without you thinking about me and my needs. I can not be thankful enough. I can only hope I gave you joy and filled your life with many wonderful memories and you knew I was always there when you needed someone to talk to.
Please know that these last years and days were getting difficult for me but I am so thankful you were there. As I started to lose my sight and my hearing, you became my eyes and my ears. You picked me up when I fell and you fed me when I was too weak. You gave sacrificially with your time and your money so I could feel healthy.
I have lived a wonderful life, better than most 2 legged creatures. The time had come and I just needed to close my eyes and rest. I wanted to see you one last time and feel the warm embrace of your arms, a feeling of love and security that I felt every day, just like the first day you picked me up.
Please know God has a special place in Heaven for us. I will miss you and never forget you. I love you and thank you. I will always remember. I look forward to the day when I can jump into your arms, see the smile in your face and hear your voice as you called out my name, GIZMO.
