Just days before you crossed over
Your kisses drenched my parched soul
As they have your entire life.
Forever intoxicating me.
Your leaving, a shock to us all.
Your leash remains vacant.
As I walk with your sister in the meadows
since your passing,
she stops.
Perhaps she sees you.
Perhaps she feels you,
loving her ,loving us all .
The pain is endless.

Forgive me my angel for those who did not properly care for you.
With all their years as scholars, they did not test your body for pain.
You told me "I do not blame you for my passing".
Oh my angel boy please forgive me for wanting to join you.
Forgive me for the weakness I feel without your love.
Your sister grieves for you and sighs as I caress her.
Somehow I know she feels protected by us both.
She is my heart and you forever my sentry.
No one will ever occupy the soul that walked at the end of the leash of my right arm
