Gerty was my beloved black lab. She was about 1 1/2 years old when my family took her in. She was a service dog who knew sign language. One year she ate half of our Christmas ham. My mom cut off the part she ate and turned it over to serve. Everybody said it was the best they ever had.She loved playing in the hose water. Every night she slept in my bed. She was my protector and best buddy. She left this world on February 28, 2022. The love she gave was unconditional. I will miss and love you forever. May you be carefree and running as you once did.
