Today Kitty Maru died
I cried and cried
still crying now
so sad and how
weird the way she pounced
she crouched as if hunting something
and jumped down a level still crouching
then fell over in the weirdest way
the position she landed in caused dismay
her body was in disarray
could hardly breathe
her body was in such bad shape
took her to the vet in haste
really nothing they could do
her time was up that was true
somehow I knew the end was near
I really wish she was still here
I miss my cat with all my heart
her memory shall never part
I'm sure she is in heaven now
with Lucky my collie her boyfriend dog
I'm sure they're happily at play
and I will join them some day
for now I have a broken heart
our special bond will never part
