Dear Jack
by Pamela Culbertson.........................................
Dear JACK

I miss the doggie,
Even jumping on the table,
Bring him home,
Please God if you're able.

I miss so much,
How he climbed in my sweater.
I pray for him,
That tonight we have good weather.

He was gone in an instant,
In the blink of an eye.
The pain runs so deep,
All I can do is cry.

I want to give him kisses,
And hold him in my arms.
I hope the world is kind to him,
And holds for Jack no harm.

I miss the way,
He would paw at my face,
I hope the wind,
Guides him home to his place.

I'm sorry dear boy,
That I let you get so lost.
I failed you little one,
And now you pay the cost.

Goodnight Jack,
Your Mama sends you Love.
I know that God is with you,
Watching you from above.
