Sami Ann
by Patrick Lathrop.........................................
When we bought Sami in december 1992 she was a mess. Some people were selling her for $50 but she was worth a lot more to us in the coming years. We brought her home, then we lived in Albany Oregon,we right away monday morning brought her to the vet and got groomed. She was a poodle terr. mix and she was ours.Through the years we watched her grow and we grew.We moved back home to Minnesota in 1994.We knew we had someone special. In 1999 she was a huge help.I was very sick with kidney disease and needed a transplant fast.Lucky as we were my brother david had a kidney that matched.I had the surgery done and when i came home from the university of minnesota hospital but who was there to greet me at the door?My lil' puppy girl. She started to get sick in 2004 and on the last day of 2005 we had to put her to rest. She was very sick, blind in one eye and deaf. She was almost 15 years old.It was the WORST day of my life barnone!!It's only been two days now and i have been crying non stop since. She was the GREATEST dog ever.I miss you Sami ann.My tears are running down my face right now as i finish this story.Someday we will be together again with all our loved ones.Rest in peace my puppy girl and remember daddy loves you.
