Curley, a grey and white persian came to my home and stayed 2 weeks, i was out on the patio and heard this loud meow and turned around and there he stood, now i live by the woods where feral cats live, and i assumed Curley was one. but no, he was a abused cat, he came up to me had cuts on his cute little cat face, a broken tail, which made him do his duty whenever, which he had no control over with a broken tail, and his legs were raw and red inside, he was in bad shape and around 15 years, very big and friendly, i grew to love this cat and named him curley, fed him set up a shelter for him and water and talked to him. he just wanted love, and i gave it to him altho it was a chore cleaning his mess on the patio and his bedding sometimes 3 times a day. Than one day i realize Curley is in a lot of pain, could hardley walk and ate hardley nothing i gave him,it was the hardest thing to do to take him to the shelter to send Curley home. i still remember his eyes looking at me, like why did you betray me, or maybe he was thanking me for letting him go, so his suffering was over. I loved curley and stayed with him and talked to him through the cage, and he meowed as if answering. Now my Curley is gone and i no he is in StFrancis garden(Patron saints of animals) and across the rainbow bridge and i think of him often, if he had been in better health i would have kept him till the end but i knew what i had to do. he will always be part of my life, now is at rest and playing also and whole again, a beautiful persian with so much fur and the prettiest eyes i seen on a cat. i no he is well groomed now! for all his fur was so matted but i love him as he was. I love you Curley forever!
