God's little creatures, helpless and new,
Come into this world, just to find you.
Their sense of direction is close to the ground,
And they haven't a map, to get where they're bound.
God's little creatures, in every form,
Are looking for someone, to help keep them warm.
They wonder about, almost, without a care,
Until something or someone, helps put one there.
They need a companion, who'll stay by their side.
Who'll love them and feed them, take them for a ride.
A mommy or daddy who just needs a friend,
A furry companion, who will stay 'til the end.
God's little creatures don't ask for much.
Food to sustain them, love in your touch.
A little time out, to spend time in play,
A place to lay down at the end of the day.
A scratch on their tummy or behind their ear,
A lap to curl up in, a pal to have near.
A ride in the car, or a walk down the street,
A favorite toy, make their life complete.
God's little creatures will give back to you,
Love without measure, whatever you do.
They'll always forgive you, no judgement is there,
And patience abounds, when you, sometimes, don't care.
God's little creatures, He made before Man,
With infinite love, it was part of His plan.
God's little creatures, He made to help bear,
Our life and our heart, and our burdens to share.
Gods little creatures are true to God's heart,
They love and forgive and they never will part.
He gave them to us, so that we would know,
A part of His nature on Earth, here below.
God's little creatures, our lives truly bless,
With their love and their lives, bringing us happiness.
God's little creatures, somehow, make us whole,
And all that they bring, we never will know.
But for the time that we have them to share,
Our lives and our hearts, as long as they're here,
One thing is for certain. One thing is for sure.
Nothing can ever, take the place of, God's little creatures.
