Shasta was a rescue dog found up in the mountains of Lake Shasta this is where he got his name. The person who rescued him made him a farm dog,he had to go out at night and search for his food and loved the nights. My son and I met Shasta at this farm and they fell in love. Shasta jumped into the front seat of my car and my son was in his baby car seat they both were 2 years old. My son is now 14 and it was his dog he got him his first collar and that is how they played. When Shasta was a bad dog he was put in time out for a minute and my son loved and still loves him so much. This dog is very special as he is blind and my son is a special needs boy. Once loved Shasta loves to live in our home and my son says he is his best friend forever. It is so difficult to say our goodbye's and to explain to my son Shasta is suffering! He is grieving over this so very bad my heart aches for both! My 2 other rescued dogs are helping Shasta see and eat. God bless!
