My Irishman
by Rick Nichols.........................................
Ryan, it has been almost 14 months since we lost you on that terrible day. Not a day goes by that you are not thought of and all the great time that you and I spent together, truck rides, etc. Tears still fall daily in remembrance of you. We did rescue another Irish Setter, that somehow I feel that you had something to do with. He was 11 months old when I got him and was in great need of a forever home. I named him Chance for several reasons, of which I suspect you might know. We also got your great niece from where we got you. She is beautiful, as were you. Even after this, as much as I love these two Irishmen, there is still a void in our hearts without you, as you can never be replaced. Gunner and Charlie also miss you and Charlie in particular sometimes seems a little lost without you, even with the other two babies in the house terrorizing him as puppies do. I still see you everywhere.Mom has pictures of you almost everywhere in the house. Miss you more than can be described. Until I meet you at the bridge. Love you forever Ryan.
