We believe
by Rob .........................................
Last night, our beloved Golden Retriever, Bella, was suddenly taken from us. She was a special dog, having dealt with kennel cough as a puppy. Contrary to what the vets said, we refused to euthanize her and with medication and a hospital stay, she recovered.

She was only seven years old and like most of you who will read this know from personal experience, was the love of our lives.

My wife and I are both devastated!! When we went to bed last night, neither one of us could sleep. I got up early and made coffee. I watched the news but couldn't think about anything but our loss.

When my wife got up, she told me that she asked God to take care of our little girl. She said that she dreamt that Bella was was running in a filed of grass playing with many other dogs. Bella looked at my wife and gave her a look of happiness and well being. My wife told me that Bella was fine and happy.

One never knows what dreams mean and this one confused me, but under the circumstances, I listened and comforted my wife as she cried telling me about her dream.

A dear friend learned of our loss and called to comfort us. She told my wife she had something to read to her. She proceeded to read the rainbow bridge story to her.

My wife started to cry, because what was in the poem was exactly what she dreamt. We knew nothing about rainbow bridge up to this point. I had been skeptical up to this point, but now I know. We will see our beloved Bella again one day.

God bless all of you who are suffering the loss of a beloved pet as we are. You are all in our prayers!
