Our bond and been set
our friendship couldn't fail
You have always been beside me,
through the good times and the tears
So now it is my turn,
to keep away your fears
With a tilt of your head,

It's a rough road ahead,
but you won't be alone
Now the lights slowly dimming,
and your paw rests in my hand
I reflect on the memories,
that you and I have had
From the car rides to fetching,
or walks along the shore
My faithful companion,
