My heart is broken but it will mend;
for today I lost a very dear friend.
Giant and vicious some would say;
we knew Tank in a different way.
Protective and strong and under foot;
never to budge like an old tree root!
A gentle old giant whose life was cut short,
love chasing basketballs like a new sport.
Guarding the high chair for tasty treats,
moving the talbe was no feat.
Watching my boys was a chore he loved;
now he'll be watching them from above.
One does not question, one does not know,
there over the Rainbow Bridge my Tankie did go.
A ruptured spleen was his sad end,
But today, God received a loyal friend.
Rest in Peace Tank,
Momma
