It all started on May 25, 2006. My dog Nanuk was outside when my mom came in to my room saying something was wrong with him. She said that she had called my grandma who lived closer to the vet wss going to keep him for the night. I walked outside and being 6 said everything was going to be okay and i would see him again. The next morning my mom got a call from my grandma. She said Nanuk had died during the night and that she was going to take him to the vet to see what killed him. I instantly started crying. I couldn't believe that the night becore my beloved best friend had a stroke or heart attack that would kill him right in my arms. I never got to say goodbye. My best friend, protector, and second parent had left with out saying goodbye. I just wanted to see him but my mom wouldn't let me. She said he would be cold and it wouldn't have been the same. I just wanted to see my best friend and say goodbye. This is probably the hardest time especially because it his 6 anniversary.
