It's been a year since you've been gone
Seems like forever as time goes on.
I miss your "Woof", I miss you greeting me at the door
I miss your paws clicking on the floor,
I miss you laying at my feet
I miss you begging for a treat,
I miss your big brown eyes
I miss your handsome smile,
I miss your happy wagging tail
I miss your cold, wet nose in my face
I miss you snoring as you sleep
I miss our walks down by the creek,
I miss the long runs with you on the country roads
I miss you making "Doggie" Angels in the snow,
I miss taking you swimming in the river
I miss our camping trips....I could go on forever,
I miss so many things, they are treasures in my heart
And as long as I have them, we are never far apart.

I know you are at peace and now you are free
And for that, I will be so ever thankful Barkley
You're loved and remembered every day
