I would never
by Sloan Patterson.........................................
I knew it was coming
I knew she would be better off
I knew she had to move on
I promised myself I would never cry.

Then, I thought about it.

I would never hear her loud protective bark again
I would never be able to run my hands through her thick fur
I would never be able to look into those big chocolatey brown eyes and see happiness and no tomorrow.

I would never again feel the slobbery kisses she used to give me
I would never see her happy tail wagging as I scratched her head
I would never admire how eager to please she was when we played fetch
I would never again love anyone or anything as much as I loved her.

I knew it was coming
I knew she would be better off
I knew she had to move on
I knew I would never be a able to keep my promise.

I thought I would never be able to see her again
I read the Rainbows Bridge Poem
It made me figure out that I was wrong
There is always hope

I will see her again
I will love her again
I will see her when:
I come get her at Rainbow Bridge
