It seems like only yesterday,
I held you in my arms,
Or took you on long walks,
In a sun-strewn park.

The smiles, the happiness,
Where we were both filled with hope,
Those good old days,
I'll cherish for as long as I breathe.

So why do I still,
See you in my dreams?
My heart's still on the mend,
From the day you had to go.

Don't think I've forgotten you,
How could I,
Forget what we had,
Even though we said our goodbyes.

I've accepted your lost,
Even cried you a storm,
Knowing you had to go grieves me,
There is no remorse.

Seeing your spirit,
Whether it be in my dreams,
Or walking down memory lane,
I'll miss you again.

It hurts to think of you,
Knowing you've gone,
Don't get me wrong I love you,
But we have to let go.

Your spirit's alive inside me,
I know you're there,
As long as I think of you,
We're together again.

So tell me why do I still,
See you in my dreams?
I know you're up there,
Watching over me.

It's only a matter of time,
Together we'll be,
For now we have our memories,
And I'll see you in my dreams.
