HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR RACHEL
by Terri McMichael.........................................
I had no idea, how you would touch my life. You were a fat, roly poly german shepherd, that i held in my lap on the drive home. You threw up.
Little did I know, what a loyal friend, family member and protector you would grow up to be.
I took you nearly every evening out on the golf course, to run........you were so smart, you learned everything so fast. You protected our family like a fierce guardian. Only we knew your sweet kisses and cuddles.
Rachel, you and I formed such a strong bond, that can never be broken.
I miss you so much, your pictures are in our home, and i can still feel you in my heart.
I want you to know that i'm looking forward to playing with you again, and hugging your neck.
You survived parvo, cos i prayed so hard, when you were young.......i came to see you, putting my arms ever so gently around you, careful not to disturb the tubes in your leg.................
That night, I could not eat, because I knew you were in a cold metal cage, at the vets office, wondering where your family went to.
When you recuperated, daddy and i came to pick you up. You were in the back outside at the vets office, and the minute you saw us, you let out a 'dinosaur/shriek' sound that i'll never forget. I don't know who was happier, you or daddy and I.

I love you so dearly Rachel, and I want you to know just how much you were loved, when you were on this earth.
