My Prince, the loyal
by Tina Parish.........................................
The most loyal companion, Sir Princeton Harvard Esquire, that I have even known has left this world to join his brother,Toad E Claire, (departed in May) and my other child, Bandit (horse)departed 11 years ago. He wanted nothing more in this world than to be with me. I know we are not supposed to regret things, but I regret with all my heart the times I spent away from him. I now feel the pain and lonliness that he felt when I was gone. My husband has confirmed how Prince felt when I was away which was not often. He came to work with me on an almost daily basis. He traveled with me on vacations and on errands. People complained and remarked about me "dragging" my dog everywhere, but I am glad I ignored them. I am glad I took my Prince to the park for his brithdays. Those are times I will cherish until it is my time to join them. I feel so alone. I also know that I cannot say that he would have wanted me to get another dog and be happy because he was loyal to me and I, to him. He knew that. I have to believe he knew that or crumble under the guilt of thinking he did not and how many ways I could have been better for him. I would give all I have ( and no I am not just saying this arbitrarily) to see him smile one more time, to have him look at me with his warm brown eyes, to itch his ear like he loved, to just be with him as he wanted to be near me. There is not enough space here to tell of his story, so I shall write it all down on paper so that it will be known how much I loved him. He is and forever will be My Prince, the loyal.
