I love my Zelda Belda
by Trish Clark.........................................
Dear friends i would like to introduce you to my first hamster and my first four-legged best friend. Most people would say a cat or a dog is their best friend but mine's a hamster. Zelda may have lived one year but it was a GLORIOUS year!!! I just moved into an efficiency apartment a few months earlier and I wated a pet. I had been thinking a small dog or a small animal like a hamster. After doing tons of research I had my eyes set on the local pet shops hamsters. I wanted a golden hamster but they weere out. I got a black bear hamster or Syrian hamster. SHe was so sweet and curious and a bit of a daredevil!! I had to tell her "Zelda Belda no skydiving!!!" as she jumped off of my head or elbow! She seemed invincible! SHe could tell I had a disability right off. One time I couldn't see her in the cage and I said "Zelda where u at?" and she put her paw on my finger saying "Here mommy". She loved going outside and she loved all kinds of people! Well unfortunately she had a cancerous tumor in her ear. She died in December. I had help burying her in the teapot I put on my porch as a decoration. Right before she died I prayed for her and i looked up and she died with her head bowed and her paws clasped in prayer. I wrote her a song when she was young. here goes..
"I love my Zelda, I love my Zelda Belda, I love my Baby Belda, Z-Zelda, B-Belda!!!" Love you my sweet angel!! I have a golden hammy now and 2 gerbils. I love them but the loss of my first still hurts. Loves and kisses to all who read this.
