A love so unconditional
You gave us everyday.
A true survivor that was you
So in our hearts, you'll stay.

Said you had "special needs"
You were so pretty, what was wrong?
"She's blind" description reads.

So to the ladies home we went
They'd separated you
Too many cats and you were scared
My heart you jumped into.

They placed you softly in my arms
You purred so loud and clear
I wanted just to keep you safe
To never live in fear.

I brought you home you found your way
Would walk in box like style
Content just sleeping on the bed
Still purring all the while.

Someone had just abandoned you
Such cruelty, no heart
Survived out there for 6 long years
From us you'd never part.

Already had another cat
Like sisters you became
She wasn't sure just what was wrong
She loved you just the same.

We didn't have you long enough
Still, long enough to know
One of the hardest things in life
To love and then let go.

If there's a Heaven, you are there
To me, there is no doubt
You showed us every single day
What love is all about.
