Little Man

Little Man

Awaken every morning
With black whiskers in my face
Trying to make breakfast
But a bunny in my space

Smiling every day
At your antics and your play
Laughing every minute
Of every hour of every day

The light that shown around you
Was so bright and so carefree
And the large amount of love you gave
Was unconditional as it could be

The dances that we shared
Are forever in my heart
You knew you were the better one
Even from the start

And when the time had come
To go to sleep at night
You knew exactly where to go
To keep your treat in sight

The jarring of the bed
As you pounced to go to sleep
Is something I will miss the most
Whenever I do weep

The house was filled with love
All the while that you were here
Now only the memories
Is something I hold dear

The love that you gave us
In such a short amount of time
Will truly make our healing hearts
A major uphill climb

And in the shadows always
I will see you there
Your little white nose
Twitching in the air

So long my "little man"
Until we meet again
Then you can refill
The hole you left once again

We love and miss you bubby.
