A gift from Batcat
by jennifer .........................................
I lost my little Batcat right before Christmas. She was only 2 and the absolute love of my life. For many weeks now, the pain, grief and heartache just kept getting worse for me. My other "kids" felt her loss as well as they would constantly look for her and call to her. I don't know what made me do it, but I browsed our local humane society webpage and the first picture I saw made me freeze! I was looking at my little girl! This little black cat seemed to be looking right into my soul as if to say,"Momma, don't you recognize me?" I had to go see her. There were 4 other couples looking at her as well, but she would not go near them. When it was my turn to visit, she came right to me and started purring. I knew she needed to come home with me. When I got her home she went right to the spot by the Buddhist pine and asparagus plants that Batcat loved so much and laid down. She even knew where the catroom was downstairs and got in the litterbox. I didn't have to show her anything. The other cats saw and really had no reaction. No hissing or growling, nothing. It was like they all said, "Oh, there you are!" "where have you been?" I truly believe that my babygirl was worried that I may not make it without her and sent "LittleGirl" to save my life. She did. Batcat: Momma loves you and misses you every second of everyday. I so look forward to the day I will see you and the tears of joy will replace sorrow. Thank you for loving me without question or condition and for sending a gift from the bridge. Love, Momma
