Daphne went exploring. There was nothing wrong with this, she was an indoor/outdoor cat. That night she didn't come home. we searched everywhere and posted up lost signs, but our beloved cat was gone. We were devastated. Daphne had been my closest companion even before Jeff. A few years later my husband was out on the porch when there was a meow from the bushes. A calico cat emerged from the leaves. "Lilly!" Jeff cried "get over here!" I ran outside to see what the matter was. It was Daphne! Impossible! I burst into tears and hugged her until she meowed. We looked at her coller and saw that she belonged to a man in Canada. Well, not anymore. He had named her Ellie. "Wierd name" Jeff said with tears of joy in his eyes. We got Daphne food and water and even gave her a bath (not the best welcome present) The next day we called the canadian man. He was suprised that we had found Daphne, for she had been presumed lost 3 years ago. He was happy though. Daphne lived to be 16, before she got hit by a car. Nothing will ever replace her. peace daphne.
