The first time I saw her, I was about 4 years old, She was about 1/2 ft. tall, Jet black with somewhat of a white star on her chest, right below her neck. My biological father couldn't keep her so we took her in as part of the family. Shortly afterwards my sister, my stepdad, my aunt, my two cousins, and then later my grandmother moved into a townhouse eventually we named her pepper. About 2 yrs. after that we moved to North.Carolina for 3 yrs. or so. In the winter she'd stay inside most of the time & keep watch over the house. But in the summer, you've never seen a free roming Black Lab in a four acre coutry side trailer park run so fast. There was even one time she dragged my sister about 50 ft up the driveway on her leash. When I was about seven yrs old we moved back to the southwest in Tucson, Arizona. A little less than a yr. later she was hit by a car. The injuries were so bad that we coud not save her. It is now five years later. We now have a Sheperd mix & just got a puppy that is an exact replica of our beloved Pepper only her name is Haley. I've now learned to exept my loss. And now know that I must move on for when I cross over the Rainbow Bridge I will find her and we will never part again.
