My husband found Stealer in the middle of the road. The trash truck had run over her but thank goodness the wheels had missed her. She was about 4 weeks old. I was out of town when he found her. When he called me and told me he had found her I could not wait to get home. He told me that he was not sure if she was going to live or not because she did not look good. Well needless to say I had to rush home. I stopped only long enough to get some kitten milk and a baby bottle at wal-mart. When I got home and looked down in the box my husband had her in she stole my heart. That is how she got the name Stealer. She was so thin and refused to eat. I figured that I could force feed her. But she had no movement in her back legs. I told myself I would give her time to try to heal. Less than 24 hours later I realized she was not going to get any better. I sat and held her and told her that she would be going to a place called Rainbow Bridge. Through tears I told her when she got there to look for a little grey poodle named CoCo. He would take care of her untill we could join her.
We took her to our vet who put her to sleep. I cried all weekend. Stealer was meant to be free and now she is.
Stealer: Even though you were in our lives for such a short time, you left us with a broken heart. We will never forget you.
